Stir-fried Macaroni to the Rescue!
Looks delicious, right?? It most definitely was! And, healthy too.
So, for this meal, firstly, I cooked my macaroni (I per-boiled also); set aside.
Health Benefits of yam.
Yam is a good source of energy; 100 g provides 118 calories. It is composed of complex carbohydrates and soluble dietary fiber.
Dietary fiber help reduce constipation, decrease bad (LDL) cholesterol levels by binding to it in the intestines, and, lowers colon cancer risk by preventing toxic compounds in the food from adhering to the colon mucosa. Additionally, being a good source of complex carbohydrate, it regulates steady rise in blood sugar levels. For the same reason, yam is recommended as low glycemic index healthy food.
The tuber is an excellent source of B-complex group of vitamins. It provides adequate daily requirements of pyridoxine (vitamin B6), thiamin (vitamin B1), riboflavin, folates, pantothenic acid and niacin. These vitamins mediate various metabolic functions in the body.
Fresh root also contains good amounts of anti-oxidant vitamin; vitamin-C. Provides about 29% of recommended levels per 100 g. Vitamin C plays some important roles as anti-aging, immune function booster, wound healing, and bone growth.

Breakfast is Served!
Hey Everyone! Hope we are all doing Great!
So, today, I had an early breakfast. I had been craving this particular food for a really long time, and, decided to end the craving today.
Preparing this meal is quite easy; it's just like preparing yam porridge, but, without the red oil.
So, what I did was, I cut my yam, put it in a pot with some water. I then added dry fish (broken into pieces), pepper, crayfish, maggi, onions, and, salt. An then allowed to cook. That simple!
Fun Fact; Yam has 0mg of cholesterol! Unbelievable, right?

This was my first time grilling anything, so, you can imagine the excitement that accompanied the preparation.

Benefits of Apples.
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away" is an old Welsh proverb that most of us are familiar with, but what makes this fruit so special? What health benefits are associated with eating apples?
Apples Lower Cholesterol
One medium-sized apple contains about four grams of fiber. Some of that is in the form of pectin, a type of soluble fiber that has been linked to lower levels of LDL or “bad” cholesterol. That’s because it blocks absorption of cholesterol, helping the body to use it rather than store it.
Apples Keep You Full
Apple’s wealth of fiber can also keep you feeling full for longer without costing you a lot of calories — there are about 95 in a medium-sized piece of fruit. That’s because it takes our bodies longer to digest complex fiber than more simple materials like sugar or refined grains. Anything with at least three grams of fiber is a good source of the nutrient.
Apples Keep You Slim
One component of an apple’s peel (which also has most of the fiber) is something called ursolic acid, which was linked to a lower risk of obesity in a recent study in mice. That’s because it boosts calorie burn and increases muscle and brown fat, HuffPost UK reported.

Craving quenched!
Hey Everyone.
Hope we are all having a Lovely day.
So today, I
decided to go just a bit overboard for lunch. I prepared curried Irish potato,
white rice, with, spicy gizzard sauce! Had been craving this meal for a really long
time, and, I decided to quench my cravings today! It was the most delicious
meal I'd tasted in a really long time!
I had to take a
Cambridge meal in the morning cos, I had to rush out so early. Had my delicious
meal for lunch, and, will have a plate of fruits for dinner. Been drinking lots of water through out the day as-well. Need to stay hydrated. Initially intended to deep fry the Irish potato whole, but, thought against that, as I am trying my best to avoid fried foods for now.
By the way, I got the
gizzard sauce inspiration from my favourite food blog;
