Stir-fried Macaroni to the Rescue!
Looks delicious, right?? It most definitely was! And, healthy too.
So, for this meal, firstly, I cooked my macaroni (I per-boiled also); set aside.
Health Benefits of yam.
Yam is a good source of energy; 100 g provides 118 calories. It is composed of complex carbohydrates and soluble dietary fiber.
Dietary fiber help reduce constipation, decrease bad (LDL) cholesterol levels by binding to it in the intestines, and, lowers colon cancer risk by preventing toxic compounds in the food from adhering to the colon mucosa. Additionally, being a good source of complex carbohydrate, it regulates steady rise in blood sugar levels. For the same reason, yam is recommended as low glycemic index healthy food.
The tuber is an excellent source of B-complex group of vitamins. It provides adequate daily requirements of pyridoxine (vitamin B6), thiamin (vitamin B1), riboflavin, folates, pantothenic acid and niacin. These vitamins mediate various metabolic functions in the body.
Fresh root also contains good amounts of anti-oxidant vitamin; vitamin-C. Provides about 29% of recommended levels per 100 g. Vitamin C plays some important roles as anti-aging, immune function booster, wound healing, and bone growth.

Breakfast is Served!
Hey Everyone! Hope we are all doing Great!
So, today, I had an early breakfast. I had been craving this particular food for a really long time, and, decided to end the craving today.
Preparing this meal is quite easy; it's just like preparing yam porridge, but, without the red oil.
So, what I did was, I cut my yam, put it in a pot with some water. I then added dry fish (broken into pieces), pepper, crayfish, maggi, onions, and, salt. An then allowed to cook. That simple!
Fun Fact; Yam has 0mg of cholesterol! Unbelievable, right?

This was my first time grilling anything, so, you can imagine the excitement that accompanied the preparation.

Benefits of Apples.
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away" is an old Welsh proverb that most of us are familiar with, but what makes this fruit so special? What health benefits are associated with eating apples?
Apples Lower Cholesterol
One medium-sized apple contains about four grams of fiber. Some of that is in the form of pectin, a type of soluble fiber that has been linked to lower levels of LDL or “bad” cholesterol. That’s because it blocks absorption of cholesterol, helping the body to use it rather than store it.
Apples Keep You Full
Apple’s wealth of fiber can also keep you feeling full for longer without costing you a lot of calories — there are about 95 in a medium-sized piece of fruit. That’s because it takes our bodies longer to digest complex fiber than more simple materials like sugar or refined grains. Anything with at least three grams of fiber is a good source of the nutrient.
Apples Keep You Slim
One component of an apple’s peel (which also has most of the fiber) is something called ursolic acid, which was linked to a lower risk of obesity in a recent study in mice. That’s because it boosts calorie burn and increases muscle and brown fat, HuffPost UK reported.

Craving quenched!
Hey Everyone.
Hope we are all having a Lovely day.
So today, I
decided to go just a bit overboard for lunch. I prepared curried Irish potato,
white rice, with, spicy gizzard sauce! Had been craving this meal for a really long
time, and, I decided to quench my cravings today! It was the most delicious
meal I'd tasted in a really long time!
I had to take a
Cambridge meal in the morning cos, I had to rush out so early. Had my delicious
meal for lunch, and, will have a plate of fruits for dinner. Been drinking lots of water through out the day as-well. Need to stay hydrated. Initially intended to deep fry the Irish potato whole, but, thought against that, as I am trying my best to avoid fried foods for now.
By the way, I got the
gizzard sauce inspiration from my favourite food blog;

Eat Healthy to stay Healthy!
Hello All! Hope we are all having a Lovely Day.
So, for breakfast, I had an apple, 4 medium sized carrots, a few slices of cucumber, with 75cl of chilled water. Very filling.
Fruits are Very good for our bodies/Health. Eating a diet rich in fruits, and, vegetables as part of an overall healthy diet may help reduce the risk of many diseases, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and some cancers. Fruits and vegetables are also rich in vitamins and minerals that help you feel healthy and energized. And, as we all already know, "One apple a day, keeps the Doctor away!"
Best of The Day To you all!
Make healthy meal choices.
Cheers :-)

Eating Better.
Hey Everyone. Hope we are all doing great. So, yesterday, I got a few concerned comments about me not having enough to eat all day, so today, I made sure to avoid that. I made myself the yummiest unripe plantain porridge ever! I used a lot of dried fish, and, a little vegetable (pumpkin leaf). It wasn't funny having to do the whole "portion control" thing, but, I had to. Luckily, I had some friends over, who devoured the food.
Benefits Of Carrot.
Hey Everyone. Hope we are all having a good day.
So today, for breakfast, I had 4 medium sized carrots with a glass of Chilled water. It was surprisingly very filling!
Carrots have a bunch of health benefits! Carrots have the ability to increase the health of your skin, boost the immune system, improve digestion, increase cardiovascular health, detoxify the body, and boost oral health in a variety of ways. They also provide a well-rounded influx of vitamins and minerals.
The benefits of carrots are so numerous, I wonder why it isn't a law to consume at least 1 carrot a day!
Below are some more benefits of carrot;

Keeping the weight off!
Hey Everyone. Hope we are all having a great day. I know I am:-D
So, yesterday was my last day on the Cambridge diet. I managed to loose an extra 3.1kg the last 7 days. Making it a total of 12kg in 3 weeks! Wow! Before I knew better, I would always sneer at those "claiming" they lost say 15kg in a month. My friends, and, I would always call it "Magic!" But now, I know that is actually very possible. (I'm sure some people would be sneering at me right now). Lol.

Watermelon; The Ideal Fruit for Cleansing & Weight Loss!
The high fluid content makes watermelon a low-energy-dense food. Foods low in energy density are perfect for helping you lose belly fat, because they provide fewer calories in a larger volume of food, which helps you feel more satisfied, so you eat less.
Flattening
your stomach isn't about doing one specific exercise or eating a
miracle “fat-melting” food; it's about eating fewer calories than you
burn. Watermelon is one of the best foods for the job at just 47 calories per one cup serving. Each wedge (a wedge of a fruit is a piece of it that has a thick triangle shape) of watermelon contains less than a
gram of fat and is cholesterol-free. You can quickly shave hundreds of
calories off your daily intake by snacking on watermelon instead of junk
foods like potato chips, which can have 275 calories and over 17 grams
of fat in just 2 ounces.
Cambridge Diet; Day 22 (Last Day!)
Hey everyone. Hope we are all having a great day! I'm so sorry I wasn't able to put up a post yesterday; had a little issue with my internet. But, it's all fixed now.
It's Day 22, and, my last day on the Cambridge meal! Yay! So, later today, we get to find out if I was able to make my target weight. A bit nervous, I must say. Hasn't been an easy journey, but, we persevered.
Started off the day by drinking about a litre of water (woke up quite thirsty). Almost forgot my meal as I had to rush out so early, but, I turned right back, and, grabbed it! Couldn't start messing things up on my last day:-)

Cambridge Diet; Day 20!
Hey Everyone. Hope we are all doing great! I am:-)
Today was Kinda like a very lazy day for me. Worked the night shift last night, so, was mostly asleep all through the day. I was barely able to take my meals, don't even think I took enough water today. I had to practically force my first meal down my throat when I got home, before going straight to bed. My lil cousins kept on running around, making so much noise, so, I kept waking up at intervals.

Hey everyone. Hope we are all doing great. I am!
